As the story goes, Vincenzo's grandfather Roberto brought new chocolate-making techniques back to Europe from his travels to South America. His first months experimenting with the new flavors, Roberto shared taste tests with his family, friends and neighbors. They encouraged him to build his own store to sell the treats. His first store opened in 1932 with a line around the block ready for his first official bar of chocolate and a selection of baked chocolate goods.

Being raised by a family of chocolatiers, Roberto's grandson Vincenzo, not only loved everything chocolate, but became obsessed with the feeling it invokes.

Today he brings to the world a new take to his grandfather's store, Le Cocoa, a way for everyone to experience chocolate in more than just the bar.
