Marlina’s Cupcakes began as a beloved neighborhood bakery known for its rich buttercream, playful flavors, and handmade attention to detail. As the business grew—expanding into online ordering, catering, and retail packaging—the brand needed a visual system that could carry the same warmth and quality beyond the bakery counter.
Our goal was to evolve Marlina’s identity into something clean, memorable, and flexible—while preserving the joyful, handcrafted feeling that made the bakery special in the first place.
The result is a bold yet approachable brand system designed to celebrate the artistry of baking and the simple delight of a perfect cupcake.

Marlina’s Cupcakes had built a loyal following through flavor and personality, but its visual identity had grown inconsistent over time. Packaging, social media, signage, and photography all expressed slightly different versions of the brand.
The challenge was to create a cohesive visual language that could:
• Maintain the warmth of a small bakery while looking professional at scale
• Work across packaging, storefront, social media, and catering materials
• Highlight the bakery’s signature textures and flavors
• Stand out in a crowded dessert and boutique bakery market
At the same time, the brand needed to remain playful and inviting—never overly corporate or polished.

We developed a simplified visual identity built around three core ideas: texture, color, and joy.
The system centers around rich frosting-inspired visuals, bold color palettes drawn from the bakery’s signature flavors, and clean typography that keeps the focus on the product.
A series of photographic textures—swirls of frosting, cupcake tops, and ingredient details—create an instantly recognizable visual language that feels indulgent and handcrafted.
Packaging and brand materials were designed to be flexible and scalable, allowing the bakery to maintain consistency across everything from cupcake boxes and catering menus to digital storefronts and promotional materials.
The result is a brand that feels modern yet handmade—refined without losing its personality.
